Now that the Chicago Bears have finished the majority of their free agent signings and they have completed the draft, the roster is mostly locked in before training camp starts. What does the interior defensive line depth chart look like now that the majority of the moves have been completed?
Chicago Bears interior defensive line depth chart
Gervon Dexter
Every year, there is a hope that it is the year for Dexter to break out. This is legitimately the last year as the team may try to extend him, but both sides might be interested in seeing how Dexter plays it out.
Grady Jarrett
Jarrett is getting older, and the team is going to need to work on limiting his snaps this season to get the most out of him. Will they do it, or will this be the season that things fall apart for Jarrett?
Neville Gallimore
The Bears signed Gallimore to notable depth money this offseason, almost ensuring he will make the roster this season. He has mostly been a depth piece, but moved up to a career high 467 snaps with the Indianapolis Colts last year. The Bears must have liked what they saw and are hoping for him to take on a decent-sized role this year as well.
Kentavius Street
Street has been in the NFL since 2018. He played 518 snaps in 2022, but has not topped 300 snaps in the three seasons since. Still, he is a reliable veteran who can get rotational snaps. If needed, he could slide outside for a couple of edge rusher snaps as well.
James Lynch
Lynch has been in the NFL since 2020. He played a career high 333 snaps last season, but has always been around 300 snaps per season since entering the NFL. He is another player who can slide outside for a few run defending snaps on the edge, which gives him enough value to make the roster. His salary says he will be on the bubble, though.
Jordan van den Berg
Jordan van den Berg is a sixth-round rookie from Georgia Tech. It was not considered a deep draft class, and van den Berg was a late pick who was expected to be a UDFA. So, he is not a lock to the make the roster, but could push Lynch and Street.
Jayden Loving
Loving is a rookie UDFA from Wake Forest who is hoping to stick on the practice squad this year.
