Bears Get Big D'Andre Swift News on Thursday After Missed Practice
The Chicago Bears are in a massive slump heading into Week 12. Last week, they lost to the Green Bay Packers 20-19 after Cairo Santos' 46-yard field goal was blocked as time expired. The Bears dropped to 4-6 on the season and are losers of four straight.
In Week 12, Chicago has another divisional contest on the horizon as they play the Minnesota Vikings. As they prepare for this game, the Bears got great injury news regarding running back D'Andre Swift.
Bears News: D’Andre Swift Practiced on Thursday
According to Kevin Fishbain, running back D'Andre Swift was limited in Thursday's practice after he was DNP on Wednesday with a groin injury.
With another practice session on Friday, Swift is trending in the right direction. After a slow start to the season, the Georgia product has picked it up and become a reliable playmaker in the offense. In 2024, he has 635 rushing yards and five touchdowns. The 25-year-old has rushed for at least 50 yards in seven straight games.
Having him out there against a good Vikings team will go a long way as the Bears look to get back into the win column. Especially since Minnesota is first in the NFL in run defense (74.4).
The Bears need all of their playmakers on the field to get this season back on track. Chicago will need a lot of help if they want to sneak into the playoffs but it starts with themselves. They need to get a win and that starts in Week 12.
