Bears News: J.J. Cosh Leaves Bears for Georgia Tech

It was announced that salary cap analyst/pro scout J.J. Cosh is leaving Chicago to join Georgia Tech Athletics. At the university, he will be in charge of developing and implementing the management of Georgia Tech's athletic revenue strategy.

Cosh spent the past seven years with Chicago, where he was the manager of football administration and pro scouting since 2022. In that position, Cosh was the Bears' No. 2 salary cap manager, administrator, and negotiator.

He was also involved in free-agency budgeting, drafting, and preparing player contracts. In addition, he had the power to submit official transactions, negotiate with agents, and carry out contracts on behalf of the team.

Cosh jumped at this opportunity and decided to leave town after seven long years.

This season hasn't gone the way Chicago envisioned. After dropping five games in a row, the Bears' playoff chances are hanging on by a thread. They would need to win six games in a row and get some help from other teams to sneak in.

But with the way, the team has played lately, that seems extremely unlikely.
