The Chicago Bears fanbase has an understandable hatred for veteran Aaron Rodgers, who inflicted so much misery on the team while never letting them forget it. This ensured that Bears fans were going to enjoy watching what has transpired at the end of Rodgers career as the quarterback continues his laughable antics and teams continue to allow themselves to be held hostage by a ghost of what the quarterback once was when it comes to his level of play.

This explains why Bears fans will be amused by a report this weekend from NBC Sports that provided some clarity, or lack thereof, on Rodgers ' expected meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers this weekend. This clarity is that there doesn't appear to be a sure meeting in place, with no clear timeline or understanding whether or not Rodgers is going to show up during the rookie minicamp, and whether or not a deal will get done.

It is a saga that simply won't end for a quarterback who clearly loves the power of holding a team hostage. Why teams have continued to allow this despite clear regression from the quarterback remains a bit of a mystery. It gives Chicago fans yet another reason to be thankful for the presence of Caleb Williams.

For Rodgers, it is a reminder of a supreme talent that has never fully lived up to expectations. As much as the quarterback loves to talk about his dominance over Chicago, the signal caller only managed to win one Super Bowl despite consistently being in an easy division and being given great playmakers.

Bears Fans Can Only Laugh as Aaron Rodgers Continues to End Career in Sad Fashion

Rodgers career is going to be looked back on and remembered as a great individual talent that wasn't able to get the most out of his career when it came to team accomplishments. Much of this is due to what we are seeing play out in this moment. Rodgers holds all of the power in this situation, being able to come out and clarify whether he is retiring or intends to return for the 2026 season and give Pittsburgh its starting option.

Instead, the former Chicago rival prefers to sit out free agency and the draft, doing his very best to keep in the headlines. This has shown so much of why Bears fans have consistently been underwhelmed by the hated rival despite the quarterback's record against Chicago.

The quarterback's antics have long grown tiresome, and this is simply the latest example in a long line of not acting in the best interest of his franchise. It serves as an example of just how irritating Rodgers is as your quarterback and speaks to how close we are to the end of the hated rival's career.
