For years, Chicago Bears fans had to deal with Aaron Rodgers. The former MVP claimed ownership of the franchise and, as much as everybody would hate to admit it, he had a valid point. The Green Bay Packers were an absolute menace with that man on the field.
Now, the tables have turned. The Bears have a star quarterback of their own in Caleb Williams, and even when the team around him wasn't that good, he fared more than decently against the most-hated divisional rivals.
That's why, now that the schedule for the 2026 NFL season is officially out there, the Bears' former No. 1 pick may have already circled those two matchups with the Packers in his calendar. He'll be ready.
Caleb Williams will look to extend his dominant run vs. the Packers
The Bears will hit the road to face the Packers at Lambeau Field in Week 5 on October 11 , 2026. With Micah Parsons likely starting the season on PUP, that's the earliest he'll be eligible to return, and he'll likely be limited as he works his way back from injury.
Then, the Packers will visit Soldier Field on Friday, December 25, for a Christmas Day showdown in Week 16. That game will be crucial, as the Bears will then close out the season with two other divisional matchups vs. the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings, respectively.
So far, Williams has 1,176 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions in 5 games vs. the Packers, going 3-2, winning two in a row, and going 1-0 in the playoffs. He torched them in the Wild Card game, completing 24 of 48 passes for 361 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 picks in a game that included an 18-point comeback and one of the greatest throws of all time to find D.J. Moore for the go-ahead touchdown.
Williams is still a work in progress. He still needs to be more accurate and make better decisions at times, but he's already proven to have that X-Factor and that he's absolutely unfazed by the big lights. He rises to the occasion and is at his best when it matters the most, and the Packers already learned that the hard way.
The Packers lead the head-to-head matchup 109-98-6, and they won 11 consecutive games at one point. Fortunately, there's a new sheriff in town, and it won't be long before Williams levels the field again in the most heated rivalry in pro football.
