The Chicago Bears are preparing to play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in London. The Bears have won two straight games after starting the regular season 1-2.

For their Week 6 matchup against the Jaguars, the Bears will not have starting safety Jaquan Brisker, who is still in the league’s concussion protocol. Brisker did not travel with the team and was officially ruled out on Wednesday.

Elijah Hicks will take over as the starting strong safety for the Bears, but Chicago might have to make another adjustment to their secondary based on the latest injury news out of London.

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, cornerback Tyrique Stevenson popped up on Thursday’s injury report with a calf issue and was limited. Biggs adds that Stevenson’s backup, Terrell Smith did not travel to London because of a hip injury.

Stevenson is Chicago’s CB2 playing opposite Pro Bowl cornerback Jaylon Johnson. Stevenson has played well to start the 2024 season, recording 26 combined tackles, five pass deflections, and an interception (one defensive touchdown).

The second-year cornerback also possesses a 55.9 completion percentage allowed on targets and a 79.5 pass rating allowed when targeted. If Stevenson cannot play on Sunday, the Bears might have to start Jaylon Jones.

Jones has appeared in all five games this season but only has four combined tackles and two pass deflections. The former Ole Miss defensive back has spent most of his time on special teams this season, playing 71 percent of snaps.
