Fans and the front office want to see a reason to believe they made the right decision and that failing to trade or sign a splashy name wasn't a mistake. One that could still be remedied in the next weeks of the offseason and in training camp if the right fit were to present itself.
Booker is undeniably an important piece of this team, the only question is whether or not he is going to be able to live up to starting expectations. This is a question that only time and meaningful reps are going to be able to answer as the Bears have turned up the pressure on a player who was quietly developing previously.
