The NFL regular season is over, and non-playoff teams have officially entered the offseason. Similar to the Chicago Bears, plenty of teams will be interviewing head coaching and coordinator candidates while getting ready for the draft and free agency.

While the Bears are laser-focused on their own head coaching search, there are Bears coaches who are getting attention on the market. According to the latest report by NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Bears interim head coach Thomas Brown will be interviewing with the Seattle Seahawks for their offensive coordinator job.

NFL News: Seahawks to Interview Bears Interim HC Thomas Brown

Brown was Chicago's head coach for the final five games of the season, leading them to a 1-4 record with the Week 18 victory over the Packers. He was initially hired as the pass game coordinator under HC Matt Eberflus and OC Shane Waldron. First he became the interim offensive coordinator following Waldron's firing before taking over the head coaching duties.

It is hard to argue that Brown did a good job in his role. He was thrown into the fire and wasn't ready for the job but the Bears didn't show much improvement after he took over. The offense continued to struggle and play below their talent level.

Considering how poorly Brown's previous offensive coordinator tenure went with the Panthers, perhaps it's surprising that he is getting a look from the Seahawks.

Seattle fired Ryan Grubb earlier this after an up-and-down season. The Seahawks finished 10-7 and had a middle-of-the-pack offense. With the amount of talent on the roster, it's hard to justify that firing. At the same time, they did have one of the worst rushing offenses in the league. Whether Thomas Brown can fix that if hired remains to be seen.
