2. B.J. Hill - DT

The Bears' defensive line doesn't only need help at edge rusher, but they also need help on the inside. Currently, the Bears have a nice veteran-run stuffer in Andrew Billings and an up-and-coming player in Gervon Dexter Sr. Outside of that, defensive tackle depth is scarce.

This was proven after Billings tore his pec in Week 9. As a result of this injury, the Bears already porous run defense got worse. Therefore, the Bears must add another good run-stuffing defensive tackle this offseason.

Current Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle B.J. Hill is set to be a free agent this offseason. While Hill will be entering his age 30 season, he has never graded below a 60 in run defense, according to PFF. That is exactly the type of big body the Bears need on the inside next to Billings on rushing downs.

Moreover, Hill has proven to be decent in pass rushing, having only had one season where he graded below a 60 on PFF. Despite that, Hill would likely not be used in many pass-rush situations for the Bears since Dexter flashed in that area this season.

Thus, the question becomes how much playing time Hill wants as he turns 30. If he wants to continue being a 70% snap player then Chicago might not be the place for him. However, if he's ok taking a reduction in snaps then there's no reason the Bears shouldn't go after Hill.
