3. Continue Attacking Deep

In the first month of the season, Caleb Williams was wildly inaccurate on deep passes. As a result, the offense only had six catches of 20+ yards. Last week against the Panthers, the downfield passing was much better, with four passes of 20+ yards. The two highlight deep passes were both 30+ yard touchdown passes from Williams to D.J. Moore.

This week against the Jaguars, the big plays should be there again. Through five games, the Jaguars have allowed 21 pass plays to go for 20 or more yards. Moreover, they have allowed two 60+ yard touchdown passes.

The first happened in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins on an 80-yard play by Tyreek Hill. The other long touchdown they allowed was a 65-yarder to Alec Pierce last week against the Colts.

Hill is obviously one of the fastest players in the NFL, but Pierce has considerable speed. Seeing that speed has killed the Jaguars' defense bodes well for the Bears with both D.J. Moore and Rome Odunze. Both Moore and Odunze can stretch the field with their speed, which will cause problems for the Jaguars defense.

The benefit of the Bears' deep receiving core is if the Jaguars try and key in on stopping Moore and Odunze, deep players like Cole Kmet can also gash the defense. Williams and the Bears should have plenty of chances to hit deep balls on Sunday, they just need to take advantage of them.
