2. Caleb Williams

Caleb Williams has struggled to be efficient since the bye. In the last three games, Williams has completed 50% of his passes (48/95) for 465 yards and one touchdown. Williams also had 15 rushes for 67 yards in that span.

That level of play was unexpected after his performances before the bye week. However, when the play caller isn't calling the best plays and receivers aren't getting open, there's not much that can be done.

Luckily, there was a significant difference in the flow of the offense this week with a new offensive playcaller. Williams threw the ball out much quicker against the Packers for quick, easy completions. This certainly helped Williams's confidence as he threw a contested deep ball later in the game to Keenan Allen.

Under Waldron, Williams most likely would have either not thrown the pass or air-mailed it. Fortunately, in one game under Brown, it seems that Williams is more willing to take risks.

Williams completed 74% (23/31) of his passes for 231 yards against the Packers. Although he didn't throw for a touchdown, the fact he was more efficient than he has been the past three weeks is a positive sign.

Moving forward, if Williams can continue to have games like that, the touchdown will come. All that matters, though, is that Williams's trajectory continues to bounce back and rise after a rough stretch. If he is able to do that, then Bears fans will feel pretty confident about the quarterback of the future.
