The Chicago Bears were mere yards away from pulling off an upset against the Green Bays Packers. Sadly, the Packers blocked what would have been a 46-yard Cairo Santos game -winning field goal.

Nevertheless, the Bears showed more fight on both offense and defense than they have in the past three weeks. Even in the loss, their performance provides some optimism for the rest of the season. With that in mind, here are three Bears whose stock are rising even after the loss to the Packers.

1. Cole Kmet

Over the past three weeks, Cole Kmet hasn't seen much action. He accounted for just three catches on five targets for 27 yards. That is a severe mismanagement of a good tight end by former offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.

Thankfully, under new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown, Kmet was a bit more involved this week. Kmet finished his day with three catches on three targets for 42 yards.

His best play of the day game came on a 25-yard corner route in the third quarter.

While Kmet's final stat line isn't game-breaking, he showed why incorporating him into the game plan is important. Kmet not only gives Caleb Williams a safe checkdown option, he also provides a vertical element.

Even on checkdowns, though. Kmet has the ability to turn up the field and get yards after catch. He showed that on his first catch against the Packers when he took a two-yard dump-off for 11 yards.

This performance by Kmet was a prime example of what he can do even in limited looks. Thomas Brown will certainly look to get Kmet convolved more often going forward after this game.
