The Chicago Bears were embarrassed on national television again
The Chicago Bears are not good and everybody knows it. Justin Fields is injured but it doesn’t matter because he isn’t the guy and doesn’t help them win anyway. Tyson Bagent came in last week and had a miracle win but that doesn’t erase the fact that he isn’t the guy either.
Now, the Bears had to take on a team with a bad record but an elite quarterback on Sunday Night Football as they paid a visit to the Los Angeles Chargers. With the whole country watching this primetime NBC broadcast, they were already getting destroyed at halftime.
It was a terrible effort by the Bears in the early stages of the game and they needed a miracle to get competitive in the game. There is always hope that adjustments are made.
Unfortunately, things didn’t get better in the second half either. They arguably played worse as the game became more and more out of reach. The final score ended up being 30-13 in favor of Los Angeles.
The Chicago Bears were beaten badly by the Los Angeles Chargers on SNF.
Any good vibes that the Chicago Bears had were fool’s gold. This is a very bad football team that has a lot of issues. It should be a franchise that makes big changes after a loss like this. There is no reason to keep moving forward with things the way that they currently are.
Now, Justin Herbert and his crew are 3-4 with the hopes of getting back on track. He played very well as he should when he is playing against this Bears team. He went 31/40 for 298 yards and three touchdowns.
The Chargers were much more conservative in the second half but they had such a huge lead that they just wanted to get out of there with the win and their health. They were able to do that and the Bears are embarrassed once again.
It is time for changes. That is a story for another day but it is crazy to see them be embarrassed once again with everybody watching. Not a single Bears player or coach should come out of this game feeling good about anything.
Next week, the Chicago Bears are paying a visit to play the New Orleans Saints. This will thankfully be a normal noon game.
