The Chicago Bears are one of the worst teams in the NFL. Anything that they do poorly won’t be all that surprising. However, it is still annoying to see the play so badly against the Los Angeles Chargers on national television.

They are now in the locker room for halftime trailing by a score of 24-7. They are lucky to even have one score with the way that they have played in this game. It was truly an awful half.

For the second straight game, the Bears are without Justin Fields under center. He is injured and Tyson Bagent is the man at quarterback. A lot of people have faith in the undrafted free agent rookie out of D2 Shepherd but it is false hope.

He is clearly not someone who is going to be a consistent starter in the NFL. If you do enough digging, you can see that his win over the Raiders was a bit lucky. He played well but it was never going to continue.

The Chicago Bears are getting smoked by the Los Angeles Chargers.

On the other side, the Chargers have a real quarterback. That is why they are winning so big. They don’t have a good record because they have other issues but they are talented enough to take advantage of the pathetic Bears.

Although Herbert is elite, the Bears don’t have to let him be almost perfect. He went 21/25 for 212 yards and three touchdowns with no picks. That is truly horrible for Chicago’s defense who have allowed over 200 yards in a half for the third time this season. They really are bad.

Now, we have to hope that the halftime adjustments are enough for the Bears to not be a complete joke again in the second half. You shouldn’t count on it but there has to be a little bit of hope.

Nobody on the Bears really sticks out from the first half as a star. The whole team was pretty bad outside of one offensive drive. It has been a disaster and there is no other way to describe it. This team never fails to disappoint.
