Winners

The Chicago Bears had a few good players against the Minnesota Vikings.

1. Justin Fields

Justin Fields had two good games in a row during week four and week five. He was coming into this game feeling very good about himself. Unfortunately, he didn’t play all that amazing. He went 6/10 which is a nice percentage but it is a small sample size. He also only got 58 yards on those 6 completions and he also threw one interception.

Fields did run for 46 yards on 8 carries which is good but he was injured in the game and didn’t return. So, how could a guy who only played okay and then got hurt be a winner of the game? Well, it’s easy.

When Tyson Bagent came in, he proved why it’s called the preseason. Fields isn’t good but he is clearly much better than any option they currently have on their team. Bagent went 10/14 which is, again, a nice percentage but he only got 83 yards on those 10 completions.

The Bears were clearly being conservative with him under center which clearly shows who is better between him and Fields. Bagent threw a game-losing interception but that is not something that Fields won’t do from time to time either.

Justin may or may not be the guy but he is better than Bagent and that showed this weekend. For that reason, he can be happy.

2. DJ Moore

DJ Moore might not have had his career game like he did a week ago but he still showed that he is amazing. Due to the QB circumstances, he made only five receptions but he got 51 yards out of those five catches so having over ten yards per reception is amazing.

Moore is a big part of the Bears’ offense but he needs to be found consistently which hasn’t happened on a week-to-week basis yet.

3. T.J. Edwards

The Bears defense didn’t do enough but it is hard when the offense does nothing. They kept the Vikings to 19 points which would give most teams a chance to win. Even without Justin Jefferson available for the Vikings, that was a decent game for them.

Nobody made a game-changing play but T.J. Edwards is someone who can use some praise this week. He made six tackles which led the team and he also had an assist. He also led the team with 1.0 sacks in the loss.
