This Chicago Bears injury update is helpful ahead of TNF
The Chicago Bears might be the worst team in the NFL. At 0-4, it is hard to argue it as they are one of just two teams looking for their first win. They are going to grace the country with their presence on national television once again as they will take on the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football.
The Amazon Prime game is sure to reel in a big audience but that doesn’t mean that they will play well. The Commanders, who are a decent 2-2 football team are sure to play the Bears hard and likely end up winning.
The Bears might end up making some major changes if they lose this game and fall to 0-5. They need all the help they can get if they are going to find a way to win this football game. Well, this latest injury update may be helpful.
On Thursday, they will have Teven Jenkins available as they are activating him off Injured Reserve. He isn’t going to be the savior of the franchise but they need a new look on their offensive line that has played so poorly.
The Chicago Bears still have a lot of hope for Teven Jenkins at this point.
Jenkins was a high draft pick for the Bears as he went in the second round (39th overall) in the 2021 NFL Draft. Since then, he has dealt with a ton of injuries so he never really realized his potential. Now might be the time when he gets healthy and makes an impact.
Will this move make the offensive line ready to be good? No. There is still a lot of work to do but he can be an impressive player if he starts to stay healthy and develop. Justin Fields (or whoever the long-term quarterback ends up being) would appreciate it.
After blowing a 21-point lead to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, a lot of people are rightfully down on the Bears. Winning this game wouldn’t change much but it would be a step in the right direction.
We can only hope that Jenkins, amongst other factors, helps motivate the rest of the squad. If they end up losing, as mentioned before, expect a few people to be fired. They can’t go on with all of the losing so they would like to see this one bit of injury news spark the team.
