The Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team was one of the teams playing during Week 0 of the College Football season. They took their team to Dublin, Ireland to take on the Navy.

Of course, the Irish had to win in Ireland so they did. They blew out the Navy by a final score of 42-3. It was a great game for them to win overseas.

Now, week one will see Notre Dame take on Tennessee State. That won’t be much of a test for the Irish as they should take them down. However, the schedule is not easy all year long.

If Notre Dame wants to make the College Football Playoff, they need to go undefeated. Of course, that is going to be tough with this schedule. These three games will be the ones that everyone has their eyes on during this quest:

1. vs Ohio State – Week Four

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a huge matchup with Ohio State.

Week Four of the college football season is going to be an interesting one for sure. Notre Dame (currently ranked 13) is going to face off against Ohio State (currently ranked 3) in South Bend.

A lot of eyeballs are going to be on that game as the Irish look to get revenge on Ohio State for setting their season off on the wrong foot last year.

This is going to be a very meaningful game as both teams believe they can be in the College Football Playoff.

After this game, one will have their eyes truly set on it while the other will have a hill to climb. Obviously, as an independent team, Notre Dame needs it more. However, you can expect a big game for the Buckeyes.
