The Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football team is expected to be a good team this year. They finished in the College Football Playoff as the number 22 team in the ranking.

Coming into this year, they are the number 13 team. Big things could be coming to South Bend this season. It would be nice to really see them go on a nice run.

This season, it started with a bit of a twist. The Irish played against the Navy in Dublin, Ireland. Obviously, that is a really cool way for the season to get started for them.

Not only did they defeat the Navy, they absolutely destroyed them. The final score was 42-3 so you know they had their way all game long.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are coming home with a huge win overseas.

At one point, it looked like Notre Dame was going to get the shutout which is rare for football at any level. The Navy was able to get a field goal in there though to get on the board.

Now, Marcus Freeman is off to a much better start to his sophomore season as a head coach. At 1-0, the Irish did just what they needed to do. With a dominating win, there is a good chance they climb the AP Poll coming into next week.

Notre Dame has a very respectable schedule this season. There are some really good teams on it. If they go undefeated, they are for sure going to the College Football Playoff which is obviously the goal every year.

This was Week 0 of the College Football season and Notre Dame got to play. Now, we move on to Week 2 where the Irish will look to keep the good vibes going.

That will come with a tilt against Tennessee State. This might be a team that Notre Dame can beat by 50 or more. They beat Navy by 39 so you never know what happens here.

When you look deep into Notre Dame’s schedule, you understand why they have opponents like this to open the season. We can only hope that the good vibes from Ireland come back with them to the United States. A fun year appears to be ahead.
