Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson is down bad.

That probably is the underlying reason why Anderson literally decided to drop the gloves during Saturday’s game against the Cleveland Guardians. The decision was a mistake for Anderson as he proceeded to get knocked out by Jose Ramirez.

Anderson went on a Twitter rant on Sunday night where he lashed out at the jokes and criticisms that were made at his expense.

Anderson may want to stay off social media for a little longer.

The Guardians’ high-class A affiliate is running a promotion.

The Cleveland Guardians’ minor-league affiliate is having fun at Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson’s expense.

Anderson likely is going to have a lot of time on his hands over the course of the next week, so, perhaps he takes the Lake County Captains up on their offer and takes in a game. It probably will be best if Anderson just avoids the fans wearing a Ramirez jersey.

Considering Anderson only has one home run on the season, he wouldn’t be much use in the Home Run Punch Derby.

Anderson definitely would want to participate in the punch-out arcade game. We’ve all seen the types like Anderson before. They will put their drink down at the bar and get in a boxing stance in front of the machine only to barely reach 400 and then go back to sipping their snobby IPA.

Anderson was always meant to be the face of the White Sox and that expectation became reality on Saturday, though, not for the reasons that many were expecting.
