The Chicago Bears’ 2023 offseason is one fans will likely end up remembering as the one that finally turned things around.

General manager Ryan Poles did wonders over the course of his first, full, 15 months with the team.

This Bears roster went from bottom of the barrel to now looking as though it’s going to field a formidable, competitive type of team. Of course, it all hinges on the ascension of third-year quarterback Justin Fields, whom Poles decided to give everything he needs to succeed over the course of the 2023 offseason.

Now, as we look ahead to the regular season, the schedule becomes that much more real. Fans are buying tickets, planning trips and daydreaming about those lengthy tailgate parties.

The one weekend fans won’t be able to do that, though?

The Chicago Bears hold their 2023 bye in Week 13

Sunday December 3, 2023 will be the one day where Bears fans can rest easy without stressing about a win or a loss. That week, the Minnesota Vikings also share a bye with the Bears, but the other two divisional foes will be taking the field.

The Detroit Lions travel to take on the New Orleans Saints, while the Green Bay Packers host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.

If you laughed at the previous statement, don’t worry, most Bears fans did the same thing. Jordan Love and the Packers will, indeed, get slaughtered on national television by the reigning Super Bowl Champions.

Back to the Bears, whose bye week is sandwiched between two divisional games, which is interesting.

In Week 12, Chicago will be in the Twin Cities to take on the Vikings, and on Monday Night Football, too. Following their Week 13 bye, the Bears will host the Lions on Sunday, December 10 for a noon matchup.

If Matt Eberflus and the Bears are anywhere near a mathematical playoff berth, at that point, the rest of their schedule includes winnable games.
