The 2023 Chicago Bears/NFL season is fast approaching. Free agents have been signed, trades have been made, and the draft is in the rearview mirror.

The weather is starting to warm up so summer is coming. Of course, that means that it is time to start thinking about football. Training camp will be underway before you know it.

On Thursday, the Bears (and the rest of the league) released their schedule. It is a great day on the NFL calendar because we can start thinking about what’s ahead for our favorite team.

In 2023, the Chicago Bears will play against their division rivals six times. They will also play the NFC South Division, the AFC West Division, the other NFC teams that came in last place last season, and the Cleveland Browns are their extra game.

The 2023 Chicago Bears schedule is officially out for all to see.

They will open the season against the Green Bay Packers and then it is off to the races. Fittingly, they will close the season against the Packers as well so the oldest rivalry in the books should have some meaning this year.

The entire schedule goes as follows:

  • Week One: vs Green Bay Packers
  • Week Two: @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Week Three: @ Kansas City Chiefs
  • Week Four: vs Denver Broncos
  • Week Five: @ Washington Commanders
  • Week Six: vs Minnesota Vikings
  • Week Seven: vs Oakland Raiders
  • Week Eight: @ Los Angeles Chargers
  • Week Nine: @ New Orleans Saints
  • Week Ten: vs Carolina Hurricanes
  • Week Eleven: @ Detroit Lions
  • Week Twelve: @  Minnesota Vikings
  • Week Thirteen: Bye-Week
  • Week Fourteen: vs Detroit Lions
  • Week Fifteen: @ Cleveland Browns
  • Week Sixteen: vs Arizona Cardinals
  • Week Seventeen: vs Atlanta Falcons
  • Week Eighteen: vs Green Bay Packers

During this schedule, the Bears are hoping to see Justin Fields develop along with all of the other young pieces around him.

As you can tell by looking at the opponents, there are some good tests on there but it is also loaded with teams that came in last place in 2022. It would be nice to see the Bears take advantage of this and have a very good year.
