This offseason, the Chicago Bulls could see some big changes unfold within the team.

We have yet to know if this organization plans to run it back with a similar roster next season, but they do have some potential decisions to make.

One question mark the Bulls have is whether or not to try and re-sign center Nikola Vucevic. The big man has already said he plans to listen to other teams, but would like to remain in Chicago. Last year, Vucevic averaged 17.6 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.7 blocks and 0.7 steals.

If Chicago is unable to work out a deal with Vucevic this summer, or even if they’re looking to upgrade depth at the center position, there are some excellent options available within this year’s playoff teams. Let’s take a look at five free agent big men from the 2023 NBA Playoffs the Bulls could go after.

Free agent big men from NBA Playoffs the Chicago Bulls should target: Jock Landale, Phoenix Suns

Type: Restricted

2022-2023 regular season stats: 14.2 minutes, 6.6 points (52.8 percent shooting), 4.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.4 blocks, 0.2 steals

Jock Landale went undrafted back in 2018 coming out of Saint Mary’s, and has had a long road to get to this point. He has played some NBA Summer League ball, in addition to playing overseas for a few teams.

In 2021, he got a chance to sign with the San Antonio Spurs and averaged about 11 minutes per game in 54 contests that season. From there, he was traded a couple of times and ended up with the Phoenix Suns for this last campaign.

Landale improved in his second NBA season, and if he were stretched out over a per-36-minute basis, his numbers would have looked like this: 16.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 blocks per game.

As a depth piece, Landale would be a solid addition to the Bulls. He’s only 27 years old and has improved each year in the league.
