With the Chicago Bulls’ season coming to an end after an exciting first NBA play-in game, fans endured quite the anticlimactic couple of days.

To be fair, a lot of fans didn’t even expect to win that game against Toronto. This team has been stuck in mediocrity for over a year now, and changes have to happen.

Speaking of changes, big man Nikola Vucevic revealed that he would like to remain with the Bulls, but that he will also test free agency. Vucevic has been a polarizing player since his second season with Chicago. He’s been up and down at various times, and this summer it might just be time to move on and consider that trade a failure.

If Vucevic is let go, whether it be via sign-and-trade or purely a free agency signing, the Bulls will be looking for replacements. Those could also come via free agency, and three in particular make a lot of sense for Chicago.

Centers the Chicago Bulls should sign to replace Nikola Vucevic: Naz Reid

At the moment, Timberwolves big man Naz Reid is out with an injury. But, the way he really came on toward the end of the season was quite impressive, and should end up getting him paid.

Over the course of the year, Reid was a valuable reserve for the Wolves during times where both Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns were out with injuries of their own. Reid stepped in and played admirably, proving to be a viable scoring option both inside and outside for Minnesota.

Over his last 10 games played, specifically, Reid shot the three ball at a 45.8 percent clip. He was catching fire and becoming an integral part of this Wolves rotation, and not just merely as a reserve. He was developing into a real sixth man type, who would play meaningful minutes.

The Bulls could use a shooting big man to take Vucevic’s place, and Reid is also just 23 years old. He’ll be tough to sign, as other teams will likely be throwing him the bag. But, one can hope.
