Bears News: Devin White could be a good trade option for Chicago
The Chicago Bears could use a lot of help all over the field. Ryan Poles has done an excellent job with rebuilding this team even though Ryan Pace left him a disaster.
It is going to take a long time for them to be Super Bowl-ready (if they ever get there under this regime) but there are steps that can be taken.
The Chicago Bears already have some really nice linebackers coming in and now another really good one might be available to them.
Devin White has requested a trade out of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization. The Pro Bowl linebacker is coming up on his fifth-year option.
Meanwhile, after squeaking into the playoffs with a losing record as a result of their bad NFC South division, the Buccaneers may be headed for a rebuild following the retirement of Tom Brady. It makes sense why White wants to leave.
The Chicago Bears could consider a trade for Devin White as he requested a trade.
The Chicago Bears probably wouldn’t have to give up much in order to make this happen as it is public that he wants out of a trade. The Bears have so many draft picks that they just might consider making a move like this now that the trade request is out there.
Why would Chicago want to make a move like this? Well, if the defense improves, that means that Justin Fields will be on the field more often which is what the Bears want. This is a big year for him and the offense so any little thing that can help is something they will consider.
Of course, White isn’t someone that is going to come to Chicago and save the day. However, a former Pro Bowl linebacker is exactly what Matt Eberflus could use for his defense at any given time. If they feel they want another one, White can be their guy.
This Chicago Bears rebuild isn’t going to work by waiting around. They need to make some moves and this might be one that is worth considering.
He didn’t make the Pro Bowl by accident and now he wants to go somewhere else to play. Maybe, the Bears are on the rise just enough to consider it.
