3 Blackhawks to trade right when the 2022-23 season ends
The Chicago Blackhawks have had a terrible season but it was actually a successful season (so far). They got assets for expiring contracts and are going to have some good odds at the 2023 NHL Draft Lottery.
Their record is puny but that was by design anyway. Now, with just a handful of games remaining on the schedule, they have a very important off-season ahead.
This is a team that is already building a very nice farm system. That is great news because it was an awful system about 18 months ago. Now, they are building this thing the right way and it is going to continue during the summer.
That is going to include trading away some more players that can get them valuable assets in return. These three players are ones for them to consider trading right away:
1. Connor Murphy
The Chicago Blackhawks could move Connor Murphy and get something good.
The Chicago Blackhawks are not a team with an NHL roster loaded with good players. One of the few very good players they have is Connor Murphy. He is a solid defenseman that always does the right thing out there.
He isn’t going to put up big numbers like a superstar defenseman or anything like that but you know you’re always going to get an honest game.
Murphy would look really good on a contending team as their number three guy. He’d fit into almost any system because his positioning is always on point. He isn’t perfect by any means but he is a solid player that might gain the Blackhawks a good asset. Moving him is worth considering for sure.
