Chicago Bears players who could be replaced in the 2023 NFL Draft: Equanimeous St. Brown, WR

Last year, although the passing offense wasn’t anywhere close to prolific, a pleasant surprise ended up being former Green Bay Packers wideout Equanimeous St. Brown. Coming over after hardly being used in Green Bay, St. Brown proved he wasn’t a throwaway.

He played well enough to earn another contract in Chicago following the 2022 season, and currently serves as the Bears’ number four wide receiver. St. Brown was probably brought back mostly due to his blocking prowess. He was phenomenal in that respect, and also made some eye-popping plays throughout the course of the year in the passing game.

While he’s worth keeping around, St. Brown might end up dropping to the fifth wideout if Poles opts to go with a wide receiver within the top four rounds of this year’s draft. It’s not exactly likely the Bears go that route, but let’s say Poles gets a little greedy and snags a guy like Jaxon Smith-Njigba at no. 9 overall… that would immediately spell trouble for St. Brown.

He’d drop a spot on the depth chart, but fortunately for him, he’s probably not going anywhere and would still make the final roster from there.
