It finally happened. The Chicago Bears traded the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Of course, this is something that has been on the radar ever since they were awarded that pick by having the worst record in the NFL.

With the fact that they already have a quarterback that they believe in with Justin Fields, they were always going to trade this pick desperate for one themselves. That team was the Carolina Panthers as they are now on the clock.

Carolina gave Chicago their first-round pick this year (9th overall), a second-round pick this year (61st overall), a first-round pick in 2024, a second-round pick in 2025, and wide receiver D.J. Moore. This is a great return for the Chicago Bears

The Bears added a receiver that they believe can be a number on in addition to some really nice draft picks for this number one pick. Now, it is time to go to work on these draft picks.

It will all start with this ninth overall pick that they will make later this spring. These are the three players for the team to look at the most when they come on the board at number nine:

. OT. Buckeyes . Paris Johnson Jr.. 9. player. 812

The Chicago Bears could use a tackle like Paris Johnson Jr. right away.

The Chicago Bears have a lot of work to do with their offense and Justin Fields. One way to help him would be to better protect him.

Obviously, adding a great offensive tackle would be a great fit for this team based on what they are trying to do right now.

Johnson Jr. comes from Ohio State too which means he and Fields have that connection. It is something for them to consider at this point because of how improving the line can influence the offense in a positive manner.

If Fields is to become an elite quarterback, he is going to need some high-quality protection as every quarterback in the NFL needs. Paris Johnson Jr. projects to be someone that can do that.
