Blackhawks News: First look at Patrick Kane in Rangers colors

The Chicago Blackhawks traded Patrick Kane to the New York Rangers. It was never seen to be something that is possible but it has come. He now plays for another team and that is the reality of the situation.

The Hawks are rebuilding and the Rangers are trying to win the Stanley Cup. This is a deal that both teams help them achieve their goals.

Now, we move on. The Hawks already played their first game since the trade and so have the Rangers. Patrick Kane didn’t play in that one for New York as they defeated the Philadelphia Flyers in overtime.

On Wednesday, he is going to make his Rangers debut at Madison Square Garden against the Ottawa Senators. This is obviously going to be a big deal as far as news around the league. Ahead of the game, we got to see what he looks like in Rangers colors for the first time.

Patrick Kane has now been seen wearing New York Rangers colors.

The New York Rangers are a very good team. Patrick Kane is going to have some success playing with them as he should be reunited with Artemi Panarin who Stan Bowman mistakingly traded away to the Columbus Blue Jackets. It will all work out for them both.

Blackhawks fans don’t have to be happy about this though. They could have carried on their winning ways but the former general manager made it impossible. They were forced to rebuild or be stuck in mediocrity which is why Kane is a Ranger now.

He doesn’t look as good in Ranger blue as he does in Blackhawks red but he will certainly have a much better chance of winning with this team now. The Ottawa Senators are on a little bit of a heater but they can’t be happy about what they might be seeing tonight.

As for the Blackhawks, it is now about building for the future even more. The trade deadline is a day away and some more big moves might be set to follow.

This is a big chance to better the franchise in the long term. Their next game will also come on Thursday night as they host the Dallas Stars.
