With just about two months to go before the 2023 NFL Draft, one can only wonder just what the Chicago Bears are going to do with their current first-round pick.

Everyone has an opinion. Insiders and local papers have their predictions. Multiple outlets have given their reasoning as to why the Bears should trade Justin Fields.

But at the end of the day, it makes more sense to trade that first overall pick than anything else, and that’s exactly what general manager Ryan Pace is going to do. Just a couple of weeks ago, it was reported that a surprise team was interested in the Bears’ number 1 overall pick.

Would it make sense for the Bears to move back 10 spots with the Tennessee Titans? The return would have to be quite the haul, but Poles pulls the trigger in our latest mock draft.

The Chicago Bears kick off the 2023 NFL Draft by trading the number 1 pick to the Tennessee Titans

In this trade, the Bears start by moving back 10 spots to pick no. 11 overall this year. But, they also acquire Tennessee’s second and third-round picks in this year’s draft, plus a first rounder in 2024 and again in 2025.

This is the type of haul many Bears fans would hope for, as the team looks to build for years to come. Having multiple firsts in the next two drafts would be well-worth dealing this year’s selection and would give Poles plenty of ammunition going forward.

The biggest advantage to a deal like this? If Fields doesn’t work out for some reason, Poles has plenty of capital to use in future drafts to get his guy. But, for the sake of this mock draft, Poles is going to do all he can to build around his quarterback and in the trenches.

Let’s get this thing started with the Bears making yet another trade in the first round.
