The Chicago Blackhawks made some tough trades during the offseason so far. They sent away good players in favor of draft picks so that they can rebuild their roster from the ground up.

Despite this, they still have players like Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews on the squad. Each of them makes a lot of money with one year left on their deal.

In the case of Kane, they could still get a lot for him via a trade. David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period claims that teams are in on him and that the Dallas Stars are newly interested.

It might be hard for a team like the Hawks to do a deal like that with a division rival but you never know. If they did pull off a move like that, it might look something like this:

The Chicago Blackhawks could certainly get a lot for Patrick Kane right now.

The Chicago Blackhawks could try to land one of the top prospects in the Dallas Stars system if they were to trade them Patrick Kane. Thomas Harley has already made his NHL debut as a defenseman but he still has a long way to go before he reaches his potential.

With 34 games under his belt, he should come into 2022-23 with plenty of optimism as he tries to become an everyday contributor on the back end. Every team in the NHL needs one of those no matter where their organization stands. Everyone is always looking for effective defensemen.

The Hawks are certain to get a first-round pick for Kane. Dallas would surely give it up in order to increase their championship chances along with a player like Harley as they have come close to winning it all in the past. That second-round pick would round out a really nice return.
