The Notre Dame Football program is hoping that they can finish off a great season undefeated.

The Notre Dame Football club is really good this year. Perhaps, they are better than expected. No matter how you saw them going into the season, they are now 7-0 with a chance to run the table and make their way to the College Football Playoff. This year, Notre Dame has a new wrinkle to their path because of the fact that they are in the ACC for the season. We are used to seeing them as an independent team but the COVID-19 pandemic caused them to join a conference for a year.

Their signature win came on Saturday of last week when they earned a double-overtime win over the Clemson Tigers. It is one of their best wins in the history of the program. Some people will try to downplay the win due to the fact that Trevor Lawrence didn’t play because of COVID-19 but their backup, DJ Uiagalelei, played about as good as you would expect Lawrence to play. The Irish deserve a lot of credit for that win.

It sets up a very interesting few weeks for them. They have four games left as they try to reach 11-0 and become conference Champions. They play Boston College later today. That should be a winnable game but it might be on the tougher side as they have to deal with coming down from an emotional win last week. It feels like a trap game so that is something they will need to overcome.

If they get past the Eagles of BC, they will have North Carolina. Following that, they will have Syracuse and then Wake Forest to close out the season. Those should all be games that the Irish are able to win. They have the opportunity to determine their own destiny because of what they’ve done up to this point.

Chicago Bears should be looking at these five QBs after the 2021 draft. light. Hot

If they are able to get to the ACC Championship and win it, they will be in the College Football Playoff for sure. They will be involved with teams like Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, or Florida amongst others if they were to be involved in playoff talk which would be awesome for the program. Whether or not they would be able to take down one of them remains to be seen but they probably have as good of a chance this year as they’ve ever had.
