Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons: 5 sizzling bold predictions
By Ryan Heckman
2. Khalil Mack puts the league on notice with 3.0 sacks
One of the biggest advantages Chicago could have on Sunday is the fact that Atlanta could be without starting right tackle Kaleb McGary, who is nursing a sprained MCL at the moment. If that is the case, Khalil Mack is about to have a field day.
Believe it or not, Mack has totaled 12 pressures on the season, which is second to only Myles Garrett (14). For those not seeing Mack’s presence felt in two games, he has actually gotten pressure on the quarterback more often than not — and has also been held blatantly on several occasions.
Sunday, he’ll have the chance to line up against a backup tackle with Robert Quinn getting his second start of the season, and hopefully even more snaps than he had against the Giants.
We saw what Quinn and Mack could do in limited time together versus Daniel Jones and company, and Sunday could see Mack explode onto the 2020 scene by asserting himself as the league’s premier pass rusher once again.
Dallas was only able to sack Matt Ryan once all game in Week 2, which means this may be the boldest of every prediction listed here. But, if any single player is going to get to Ryan multiple times on Sunday, it’s Mack.
