3. Mitch Trubisky passes for over 300 yards

It’s been hot Mitch and cold Mitch through two games, but what we’ve seen from Trubisky has been absolutely stellar in those good moments. Sunday in Atlanta, Trubisky is going to put together his first complete game of the season as he goes for over 300 passing yards.

Russell Wilson passed for 322 yards in Week 1 against this Falcons defense. Now, that’s arguably the best quarterback in football. But, he’s not the only one who has lit them up over this early season.

Dak Prescott torched the Falcons for 450 yards through the air in Week 2 as the Cowboys came back to stun Atlanta.

In two games, Trubisky has averaged just 216 passing yards per game but has thrown five touchdowns. Part of the reason Chicago hasn’t seen as much production in terms of volume through the air is due to how they’ve run the ball so far. The Bears are averaging over 140 rushing yards per game through two weeks.

Early on, Atlanta has given up the second-most passing yards in two games (744) for an average of 372 per game. To think Trubisky couldn’t pass for over 300 yards against this defense would be ludicrous. If there’s any defense he could do it against on this year’s schedule, it’s the Falcons.
