Allen Robinson signs an extension

The Chicago Bears need to sign Allen Robinson to a contract extension. The bottom line is that he is their best offensive player right now. He is capable of being a number one receiver on a playoff team and the Bears need to lock him in. There are times where he has made the mediocre quarterback room look a little bit better because of the fact that he can make a big play frequently. If you throw the ball in his direction, there is a very good chance that he is going to catch it.

He has made it very clear on social media that he wants a contract extension. It makes no sense that he doesn’t have one already because he is the only offensive weapon worth speaking of right now. I believe they are going to do it because if they don’t, the friction between him and the franchise is going to increase. He already seems less than pleased that he doesn’t have one already so if he goes through the season without one, it will be even worse.

Hot. Plenty of reasons to be excited about the 2020 Chicago Bears. light

There are so many other people around the league getting their extensions and Robinson hasn’t been one of them. If they get it done here in the first fourth of the season, he will be able to play his position at a high level without the stress of the contract. Hopefully, they are able to, in fact, get this done. If they don’t want him anymore, they might as well trade him while his value to other teams is a potential number one receiver. It is fair to assume that it will get done one way or another before the season comes to an end.
