Trade No. 3

Another team that is in desperate need of wide receiver help is the San Francisco 49ers. At the moment, they are without their first rounder Brandon Aiyuk, whom they traded up to get. Aiyuk’s injury isn’t supposed to be too serious and they are optimistic he could return by Week 1, but that’s only the beginning of their problems.

A couple of weeks ago, Jalen Hurd was lost for the season due to an ACL tear. The 2019 third-round pick out of Baylor also missed his rookie season due to injury, which is a shame for a guy who came into the league with a lot of potential.

Veteran Travis Benjamin opted out of the 2020 season and last year’s breakout Deebo Samuel may not be ready for Week 1 after he endured a Jones fracture a couple of months ago.

The above trade is just a hypothetical scenario, and the Bears should absolutely choose to deal Wims over Riley Ridley. If they did deal Ridley, Pace shouldn’t accept anything lower than a fifth-round pick for a guy who was a fourth rounder a year ago.

Ideally, Ridley sticks around and if the Bears make any trade within their receiving core, the odd man out is Wims and Pace adds a pick for next year’s draft.
