3. Has Mitch Trubisky really improved?

Last year, when the Bears were practicing in Bourbonnais, the conversation centered around how Trubisky was struggling. This year, the conversation has centered around whether or not Trubisky has really improved, especially in an offseason where he’s fighting for his life.

Here’s the deal: Despite the reports that are coming out of Halas Hall, it’s tough to say whether or not Trubisky has really improved. The best way to judge whether or not a player has improved is by evaluating them in games. Right now, Trubisky is merely going against his own team’s defense in training camp, so it’s hard to say whether or not he’s really improved.

Overall, with Trubisky, nobody will know whether or not he’s really returned to Halas Hall as an improved player. His up-and-down play in 2019 wasn’t encouraging and with the hectic offseason that the Bears have had, it’s hard to judge where he’s really at heading into year four.
