2. Nick Foles lack of chemistry with the offense

For some Bears fans, there’s not really a quarterback competition taking place. Many jump to conclusions and consider Foles the unquestioned starter. While the virtual offseason was going on, Foles wasn’t in the Chicagoland area. He was at his home in Florida.

While Trubisky was busy in voluntary workouts with the rest of the starters on offense, Foles wasn’t able to do so. COVID-19 was the main reason for this. Chemistry with teammates is actually one area where Foles is behind Trubisky and there really isn’t an argument against it.

Likewise, where Trubisky has the advantage over Foles in terms of chemistry with teammates, Foles has the advantage over Trubisky in terms of his relationships with the quarterbacks coach and offensive line coach.

Foles lack of chemistry with the playmakers is something to keep an eye on. If he is named the week one starter, his chemistry with teammates could go a long way into determining what the Bears offense looks like.
