Chicago Bears: Bold predictions for tight ends in 2020
By Ryan Heckman
2. Jimmy Graham will finish second on team in touchdown receptions
This coming season, I don’t think there is any doubt about who the favorite is to lead the team in touchdown receptions. It’s Allen Robinson, of course. But, outside of Robinson, the Bears did not return a single player to this offense who caught more than three touchdowns in 2019. Robinson led the Bears with seven.

Behind Robinson? Taylor Gabriel with four — that’s it.
We already know that Graham finished with more receiving yards than all of the 2019 Bears tight ends combined, and he also caught three touchdowns in that Packers offense which was dominated by the run game.
I’ll hammer those two-tight-end sets once more, here. Inside the red zone, it will be a luxury to have two big-bodied guys who can catch the football on the field at the same time. This is where Graham can still get it done. He might not have the speed he once has, but he’s still an athlete. He can go get the football in the end zone.
I do believe the Bears offense will take a step forward — not a big one, but enough to count. Graham will finish second on the team in touchdown receptions behind Robinson, who could end up with double digits. It’s not crazy to believe Robinson could have 10-12 touchdown grabs, with Graham sitting around 7-to-8 himself.
