1. Bears tight ends will surpass 1,000 yards receiving in total

A season ago, the Bears tight ends were about as miserable as they could possibly get. Collectively, the group totaled 416 yards receiving. To make that stat look even worse, those 416 receiving yards were split between six tight ends.

If you are close to vomiting, you’re not alone. But, things will be different in 2020. If you’re looking for a reason to be optimistic, it’s pretty simple: Graham totaled 447 yards receiving last year with the Packers. That’s not too shabby for a guy who is widely considered to be washed up.

Graham may not be the same guy he was, but having him alone on the roster is good enough to top what the group did as a whole in 2019. Knowing that the Bears will use more two-tight-end sets, commonly known as “12 personnel,” makes it easier to believe they could take a big jump as a group. Nick Foles is familiar with using those sets from his days in Philly, and Mitchell Trubisky is a guy who needs that type of security blanket to succeed. He’ll have a couple in Graham and Kmet.

Between the guys on the depth chart this season, they will surprise and account for over 1,000 yards receiving. It’s not farfetched to believe Graham ends the year around 500 yards, while the rookie Kmet finishes between 300-400 yards himself. Leave the remaining yards to be accounted for by the others, and I think you’ve got a strong possibility that this happens.

The Bears tight end group will more than double their yardage from 2019. Book it.
