Chicago Bears: 4 trade packages to pull the trigger on
By Ryan Heckman
Trade No. 3
For a while now, the Jacksonville Jaguars have been wanting to trade running back Leonard Fournette. There were rumblings that the Jaguars even sought as low as a seventh-round pick and couldn’t find a taker.
To me, that seems a bit ludicrous. Fournette has had his share of concerns in terms of attitude at times, but he is a tremendous talent. A seventh rounder for at least one year of usage seems like a bargain.

The Bears spoke volumes about David Montgomery without having to say a word. This offseason, they did not add any running back of significance. But, I still believe Montgomery needs a true counterpart.
Tarik Cohen should be used creatively on offense, as well as encouraged to do what he does best on punt returns. His identity needs to come more clearly into focus. But, his identity can’t be a true complimentary back for Montgomery.
Adding Fournette would mean he likely comes in and commands 10-14 touches a game next to Montgomery, and after the season the team could decide whether or not they would keep him. This is the final year of Fournette’s contract after he saw his fifth-year option declined by the Jaguars.
A seventh rounder. That seems insane to decline if you’re the Bears.
