2. The Bears could be on primetime at least five times in 2020

Because of their defense, the Bears have become one of the more popular teams in the NFL meaning that they’ll have a plethora of opportunities to be on primetime in 2020. Right now, the Bears could host at least four potential primetime games, whether at home or on the road.

It’d likely make sense that the Bears play the Los Angeles Rams on the road, as it’s become one of the more popular matchups in the NFL over the last two years. Both teams met in 2018 and 2019 on Sunday Night Football meaning this is a trend that could continue going into 2020.

At home, the Bears could play the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Houston Texans, or Green Bay Packers at home. All four teams could be matchups for the Bears on Thursday, Sunday, or Monday night football.

One intriguing matchup to watch as a potential primetime game would be the Bears versus the Minnesota Vikings. In the scenario that both are fighting for a playoff spot during the second half of the season, the NFL could decide to flex the game into Sunday Night Football merely for the Tv ratings and extra revenue.
