Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings had two picks in this year’s draft. Pick 22 was given to them by the Buffalo Bills in a trade that sent Stefon Diggs to western New York. With the selection, they took Justin Jefferson, a wide receiver from LSU. He had an unbelievable season with the Tigers en route to the SEC title and National Championship victory.

This is a pick that is not a welcome one for Bears fans. He is an awesome weapon to give Kirk Cousins right away. Saying his career at LSU was great is an understatement. In his junior year, he really popped off. He had 111 receptions for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns in 15 games. He should be a really good option for Cousins opposite Adam Thielen.

Then they had their own pick which landed at number 25. They traded it back to the San Francisco 49ers for picks 31, 117, and 176. That is a great trade for the Vikings as they add even more picks to their arsenal. That pick 31 was used at the end of the first round. They selected Jeff Gladney from TCU. He is a cornerback that has had some knee injuries but he is fast and has all of the potentials.

He started in all four years at TCU. In his senior year, he had 31 total tackles, half a sack, and one interception in 12 games played for them It was a pretty good draft all around for the Vikings as they look to have another successful year in 2020.
