Chicago Bears: Best available players after day one

2. RB Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin
Another running back, Jonathan Taylor is the definition of speed and power. But the biggest thing that could make the Bears fall in love with him is his patience and vision. He’s willing to let blocks in front of him develop before making a decision as to what he wants to do with the football.
He’s also the kind of player that you can make a workhorse running back but he can also thrive in short-yardage situations. Taylor’s size, 5-foot-11, 2019 pounds makes him an ideal north-south runner in today’s NFL.
When it comes to being a modern NFL running back, Taylor has everything it takes. However, he needs to improve the receiving aspect of his game. This part of his game rally didn’t take off until his final year where he had 26 receptions. Between 2017 and 2018, he had just a total of 16 receptions.
It’s important that he improves upon this ability since the Bears offense is one that requires the running backs to be a dual-threat in terms of being able to run the football but also catch it and have an impact in the passing game.
