Chicago Bears NFL Draft: 3 SEC game-breakers to target
The Chicago Bears need help on the offensive line. Outside of their quarterback play, it is the single most important thing that they need to improve to help their football team improve. It was the 25th best line in football last season so even if it can be a little more “middle of the pack”, that would really improve their team. The passing game and running game would get better which would allow them to improve their chances to win.
They have an elite defense so scoring more points is pivotal. That might be why drafting Prince Tega Wanogho could be a great move. He went to Auburn University where he had a great college career. His position on the offensive line is a guard which is something that the Bears could absolutely use right now. He would have a chance to start right away as this team needs to make a change.
Auburn has been a school that has produced a lot of great players and this year should be no different. There should be a significant amount of players taken from that great program and Prince Tega Wanogho will be one of them. They might be able to get him in a mid-round or even have to slightly reach for him at pick 50 if they felt he was the guard for the job. It could come down to whether they go with positional needs or best player available as well.
Obviously, the SEC isn’t the only conference pumping out top prospects. Every conference, even some of the “group of five” schools, have good players that go on to have great careers. The Bears need to take whoever they can that will help improve their football team but the SEC has plenty of great options.
