4. DT  A’Shawn Robinson

The Bears have gotten great play from Eddie Goldman over the last few years but even then, having a deep defensive line isn’t a bad thing.

That’s why a guy like A’Shawn Robinson could really intrigue them. However, he’d be more expensive considering he’s become a core defensive player for the Lions over the last few years.
At 6-foot-4 and 330 pounds, Robinson would be an excellent fit in the Bears defense. He’d be able to play opposite Akiem Hicks.

The biggest benefit of bringing on someone of his size is the fact that he’d be able to take on double teams which would then free up more opportunities for guys like Leonard Floyd and Khalil Mack. In other words, this is the kind of move the Bears should make because it would help the entire defense.

Robinson won’t earn top dollar on the market, however, a reasonable deal for him looks like he could want a three-year, $15 million dollar deal with guaranteed money up front that will allow for a team to get out of the contract after year two if needed.
