Chicago Bears: Three matchups to watch against Redskins
Matchup #1: WR Allen Robinson vs. CB Josh Norman
One big criticism of the Bears offense this season is the inability of the team’s receivers to create separation and get open. The one guy who hasn’t had much of a problem with this is wideout Allen Robinson.
The chemistry of Robinson and Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky was a highlight of this year’s Bears training camp. Fans and analysts alike were excited as the pair looked to build on the great stat line that Robinson had in last year’s playoff game.
So far this season, it appears that Robinson is the only receiver Trubisky is truly confident in throwing to. It seems as if Robinson is his first read on almost every passing play.

While that may seem to back up the case that the pair has great chemistry, it’s also a concerning sign that Trubisky isn’t comfortable going through his reads after the ball is snapped.
Enter Redskins cornerback Josh Norman. The Pro Bowl defensive back got a massive contract in 2016 to come to Washington and is considered one of the corners in the league.
It could be a tough matchup for Robinson if Norman shadows him on every play like Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr. did last week. Robinson made a big catch with just one second left last week but was held in check with four catches for 41 yards.
