The Chicago Bears travel to Washington D.C. to face the Redskins in a primetime matchup on Monday Night Football. Here are three matchups to watch in this crucial game.

For the second time in two weeks, the Chicago Bears will play a game in primetime with the nation watching. This time, they’ll face the 0-2 Washington Redskins in a game that both teams really need to win. It’s a game the Bears will be expected to win.

For the Bears, it’s been a tough start to the season. Despite a miraculous road win last week against the Denver Broncos, the team has looked shaky at best. The offense is off to a stagnant start, scoring just one touchdown in eight quarters of football.

The defense is helping the team stay in contention, but they showed some flaws late in the game last Sunday when the Colorado altitude sapped their energy. You can’t entirely blame the defense for that, but the team needed to be better prepared for the conditions.

The Redskins faced a tumultuous offseason. Their star left tackle Trent Williams refused to report to training camp, citing contract issues and concerns with how the team handled an injury. He’s still not with the team and has reportedly racked up millions of dollars in fines.

Washington’s offense is above average so far this year, but their defense is the part of the team that’s let them down. Despite missing some big throws in his first two games, Redskins quarterback Case Keenum has over 600 passing yards this season.

While the Bears are the better team on paper and the clear favorite for bettors in Las Vegas, there are no easy weeks in the NFL. Here are three matchups to watch in this key Bears game.
