Chicago Bears Depth Chart: 5 players in danger of being cut
By Ryan Heckman
Tight End Dax Raymond
There may not be a more painful group to watch or talk about during training camp than the tight ends. So far, starter Trey Burton has looked shaky at times and he’s also missed some practice due to injury.

Backup Adam Shaheen has also missed some practice with a back injury, and he’s looked a little sluggish on occasion.
Behind Shaheen, the Bears have Ben Braunecker, who is more of a utility type but no where near an every-down tight end. Then, it’s a toss up.
A lot of fans were high on Dax Raymond when the Bears brought him in as an undrafted free agent this year. It was easy to see why, too, when you watch some of his film.
But, it has been Ian Bunting, an undrafted free agent out of California, who has impressed more than Raymond. Thus, Bunting is ahead of Raymond on the initial depth chart.
Bunting made some strong grabs under the lights this past Saturday night and has caught folks’ attention at training camp. He has done more, so far, to impress the coaches. With that said, Raymond may not end up making this roster as he’s also behind Bradley Sowell.
