Chicago Bulls: Ranking best duos in the Central Division
By Ryan Heckman
Milwaukee Bucks
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton
It doesn’t matter which teammate you put with Giannis Antetokounmpo. Even if Khris Middleton wasn’t an All Star, the Bucks would still be number one because Giannis is that good.
I am not a huge believer in Middleton, but he definitely began to prove me wrong during the playoffs this last season. As a slasher and scorer, he’s come a long way and deserves the respect he gets at this point.
But, Giannis? You’re talking about the reigning MVP. He and Middleton absolutely deserve the no. 1 spot. There is no player better in the division, or in the conference, than Giannis right now. The scariest part about Giannis’ game is the fact that he lacks a jump shot.
He’s an MVP but can’t regularly hit mid-range jumpers — and don’t even ask him to shoot from three.
Isn’t that absolutely astounding? It sounds harsh, but it’s a fact. Giannis can’t consistently score from outside the paint. Imagine if he developed a jumper.
Giannis would be one of the most unstoppable forces the NBA has ever seen.
The Bucks will be amongst Eastern Conference supremacy for years to come, so long as they have Giannis locked down under contract. The scariest part of this duo is the fact that they could attract an additional premier-level free agent down the line. Imagine if that happens — kiss Eastern Conference competition goodbye.
