Chicago Bulls: Free agents to target from the 2019 NBA Finals
By Ryan Heckman
Shooting Guard Danny Green — Unrestricted
This might be a bit of a stretch, because veteran guard Danny Green is still capable of being a starter in this league. Because of that, Green’s price tag might already be more than the Bulls would be willing to pay for a backup shooting guard.
Now, Green would certainly bring a lot to the table as a backup. Obviously, he’s been one of the best three-point shooters in the league for a few years now. He was a big piece in the San Antonio Spurs taking out LeBron James a few years back, for yet another title. Funny enough, so was his current teammate Kawhi Leonard, who followed him to Toronto.
Green’s role as an excellent “3-and-D” player would be exactly what the Bulls are looking for in someone to back up Zach LaVine. But, again, he will likely sign somewhere else as a starter.
Looking at Green as a potential backup in Chicago is more a dream than anything else at this point, but he is still worth mentioning because of his pedigree.
